Dr. Letetia Addison is a tertiary level educator, statistician and researcher, specialising in building statistical and mathematical models for sustainability. She holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics and an M.Phil. in Statistics from the University of the West Indies (UWI), St. Augustine Campus, harnessing the power of data-driven models to influence strategic planning in her role as a Project Officer. She also has more than a decade of experience lecturing quantitative courses in Mathematics and Statistics at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels across various UWI Faculties, and she previously served as the Mathematics Help Centre Coordinator in 2018. Dr. Addison led a cross-campus team to first place in the 2022 Growth & Resilience Dialogue (GRD) Climate Resilience Data Challenge, developing an AI application for flood risk prediction in the OECS region. She is also a co-investigator in the Geo-Act Living Labs and Innovative Solutions Project for sustainable climate mitigation and adaptation solutions.
